'The Jackals' report 25/7/11 and 1/8/11

Post by westgarthworldwide » Wed Jul 27, 2011 10:30 pm

A trio of players met on a dark and rainy Monday night at Carlos' villa.

A quick game was needed to start and so Atikka was chosen, with Gerald victorious (This Is Sparta!), followed by Carlos and Ben.

The second game played was Glory To Rome, which was also won by Gerald, followed by Carlos and then Ben.

Third and finally we played base-set Race For The Galaxy, which resulted in an overwhelming victory to Carlos (over 50 points) followed by Gerald and perpetual wooden spooner Ben.

Power tends to isolate those who hold too much of it. Eventually, they lose touch with reality... and fall.

A near capacity crowd at the Casa Carlos tonight. Attending were Carlos, Gerald, Rob W, Ben and Gin.

The main game of the evening was Antika - which led to war, destruction, pillaging, temple burning and general empire building. Despite all that, Gerald won.

The rest of the night was Race For The Galaxy (basic) with 4 players. We played two games, both won by Carlos*

Catering for the evening consisted of some Belgian chocolate biscuits and some BBQ flavoured rice crackers, along with cups of tea of varying strengths and varieties.

*To the best of my recollection.

Must have been Gerald then? I remember in the first game it ended when Gin inadvertently got her 12 cards down but without a good scoring card. I was so far behind I wasn't really paying much attention to everyone else's score.
