FULL DAY - Tuesday 26th April 2011

Postby thingo » Fri Feb 11, 2011 1:45 pm

Billabong Boardgamers
are offering for your delight a
FULL DAY
of board gaming
following Easter and ANZAC day
Tuesday 26th April 2011
9:30am to very late.

Everyone please make a $2 donation on the day.

If you'd like to "bring a plate" of suitable nibbles,
I'm sure they would be appreciated.

*** Special mini-event ***

For the first half of the day, say 'til 1pm, the large room
(in the NW corner of the building),
will be reserved especially for children and their accompanying adult(s).

This is an opportunity for children to share their boardgames with
the 'biggies', and to come along to "Tuesday boardgames".

*** Regular Boardgames ***

Those who are a little older, will be free to play (relatively quietly) all day
in the two adjoining rooms near the car park. And after the 'Special mini-event',
in the large room. These rooms will operate as usual, with children
under the strict control of their accompanying adult.

Usual venue:
Amaroo Neighbourhood Centre
34 Amaroo Street, Chadstone
NE cnr w/ Bolwarra Street
Melways: 69:H2
map: here

Is anyone else planning to bring their child/children to the morning session? I would like to bring my 4-year-old son (plus a selection of kids' games, of course).

Cheers,
Stefanie

I plan on bringing my crew - one 8 year old (Lily) and two five year olds (Aidan and Lucas) - to the morning session.

Hi Stefanie,

Unfortunately Isabella and I can't make it on the day. We will be out of Melbourne for the Easter/Anzac Long Weekend.

We hope that you all have a great time.

Regards,
David

I am going to drum up some support from a family I know who may be interested (5 yo + 2 8yo twins). HRH My 5yo will be of little use for interaction purposes. Maybe worth dropping Melissa Rogerson a line as something to interest Otto as well as Bigster would have appeal I suspect. I'll PM her on BGG.

Tuesday 26th April 2011: RoboRally @ 11am

Postby MooseHead » Thu Apr 21, 2011 10:26 pm

I think I might drag out RoboRally. Any takers ?

Maybe kick off @ 11am, with a high energy high paced low level of difficulty scenario, after round 2, all programs to be locked in 30 secs after first program lock in, time limit say 2hrs, if no outright winner, winner to be person who first touched most progressed flag.

It's the sort of thing that both kids and adults and interact with low level learning curve.

QUICK Start rules.
