Indeed, and given the extreme unlikelihood of me going to bordercon this time around, then, I will be there with bells on being more than happy to turn the key.

It's one thing to turn the key, opening the door of pleasure, it's another to close it, something for which I most certainly will not be able to help.

I'll be at EGF tomorrow, looking for a Euro or two. In specific Chicago Express, Le Havre, Galaxy Trucker, Stone Age, Small World, In the Year of the Dragon, Cosmic etc.

Is anyone into abstracts? In specific Arimaa, Go, or the Gipf series?

You didn't have to go to bordercon to have fun, here's the evidence:

Well excuse me for having to walk all the way from Richmond thanks to my tram breaking down on Bridge Road - not that anyone asked why I was late rather than heap abuse on me for having to turn up on time themselves.

And then as soon as I walked in the door Carlos threw his hand at me and it was clearly about to kick off.

Anyway, 3 wins out of 3 games played - each ones I had never played before (Gheos, Maharaja and Las Vegas Showdown) - is a personal best for me.

I gather that provisional agreement (of those present today) seems to have been reached that EGD will run on the first and third Sundays of every Month - however the cost will rise to a staggering $4 per person ($8/month as opposed to the $3/month we pay now).

Glad to see that everyone had a good time at EGF.

So is it an official consensus that we'll be meeting fortnightly?

It wasn't an official decision. David was going to post to let us know what is happening.

It occurs to me that if we do this in June (assuming the Bridge club can come on board so quickly) we will have another EGF in a week and a half.

Scary, isn't it?
