Hi all, unfortunately I will not be able to make it in March, but the show must go on so Carlos and Doug will be there to open at 10.00am, and still be able to finish late as usual. What I am asking is if you can bring some games along as my collection will not be there to use, sorry for the inconvience look forward to seeing you in April, have fun gaming seeya David.

Anyone have Republic of Rome. Biggest mistake ever in my career of boardgaming was selling this to a friend. What was I thinking? I am at loss for an explanation.

It would be so good to play this again...

Christian, you're going nuts!

I've got a freshly punched copy I'm looking forward to playing. I know of one other person who is wanting to play. What's the optimal number of players?

An unpunched copy...? Woah

I think 6 is ideal, but 5 players should be OK too...

Haven't played in at least 7 years though... so no promises that I'll remember all the rules!

If someone can explain the rules, I'm in (I will print them out and go through them myself, though).

So I guess we're not doing AVL huh? :)

AVL is still on top of the list. If you confirm you want a game, it's fine with me!

RoR can often be a quick game - it is quite normal for Rome to be overwhelmed with foreign wars, meaning everybody loses. Happens all the time...

okay, we'll see what time RoR finishes. if it's early enough, we can do maybe a turn or two of AVL, otherwise we can wind down with a nice, relaxing game of UF or CC:E. sounds good? :D

Count me in for Rep. of Rome. Are you playing during daylight or later in the day?
