You can play two six hour games and *still* get home at a reasonable hour!

Can everybody help spread the good news of the 10 am start,we're trying our best to tell all that we can, sometimes word of mouth is best, or post to the various other boardgame clubs (Dockers and Billabong)would be appreciated. Thanks David. ( Bring on the 3-6 hour games and still have more time for lunch, dinner a sleep and more gaming.)

It was already posted to Dockers and Billabong before here. Just to need to cover the Geek and you probably will get all gamers not hiding under rocks for Xmas -> New Year :-)

And now posted to the Geek too.

It would be a good idea to get the Melbourne Entry for www.eurogamesfest.com updated ASAP though, it still says 2pm.

Hey David, the email address listed for Melbourne contact at www.eurogamesfest.com isn't working, this is the bounce message I got. Now yes it does say that it will retry, but given that the error is Disk Quota exceeded, unless somebody fixes that the bounce will be permanent.

Code: Select all

Delivery to the following recipient has been delayed:

    david@eurogamesfest.com

Message will be retried for 2 more day(s)

Technical details of temporary failure:

I just played Imperial - it's pretty good! 18xx meets Diplomacy... I'm terrible at it :)

If we play TI3 with the expansion then we should be able to get Frankie and maybe Anna in on the action too. TI3 with expansion supports something like 200 players doesn't it? :D

We should really use a timer though, especially if we have 6 players. Without a timer TI3 takes forever.

I'll probably be there after dinner @ 7.30pm onwards. After a month-plus of non-gaming, I have a need to roll some dice or shift counters/minatures on the board.

I'd like to try something fantasy-based actually. Something like Runebound, Descent, or Drakon. Don't mind Arkham Horror either. After months of eurogames, it's time I hit something with an axe.
