Hi all,

There will be a games afternoon for children at Eurogamesfest on October 2 from 2-5pm.

Sol and Phil had a discussion about this last Sunday and Sol described the parameters in a thread on the Geek as follows:

"... We have the space including an additional room which we do not use, only to make one less area to cleanup. We would assess the requirement for additional space on a needs basis. If children are attending, they must be supervised by the people who bring them. We are not a childminding service and do not meet the necessary working with children checks. Parents and/or guardians accept full responsibility for children attending in their care."

A similar event was held at Billabong on ANZAC Day and there was minimal impact on serious gaming. It was fun!

If all goes well on October 2 the proposal is to hold Children@Eurogamesfest on the first Sunday of each month from 2-5pm.

Comments are invited.

Well, they play "Talisman" and "Dungeons & Dragons: The Fantasy Boardgame".

It'll be a while before I inflict Magic Realm on them. ;)

I am coming with Aidan and Lucas (both aged 6 years) and a bag of games. Lily is going to a birthday on Sunday.

Hope everything went OK. Unfortufately 4 out of the 6 of us were down with the flu, including myself, so we weren't able to attend. Next month for sure.
