Northern Suburbs Euro Gamers 25/3 - Be There!

Post by westgarthworldwide » Wed Mar 21, 2012 2:39 am

We will be taking a break in April so make sure to come to the hottest gaming Sunday afternoon in Northcote!

Meeting on the 25th of March at the Jika Jika Community Center, corner of Plant and Union Streets in Northcote (Westgarth). Very close to the #86 tram in High Street, Westgarth station on the Hurstbridge line, Merri station on the Epping line AND the #250 bus which runs from the CBD to La Trobe University in Bundoora.

Runs from 11 am - 6 pm.

COST is $3 - if you can afford it. Snacks to share are always popular. If you can bring some friends along that is even better!

Enquiries can be made here, to westgarthworldwide /a/ gmail.com or on 0424968541

We had a few latecomers but plenty of gaming happened once we reached a critical mass!

Games played included:

Agricola (Gin won - no surprises there).
Alhambra (I think Gin won, if not it was Will)
Blokus (Will won this one)
Carcassone (Game failed to finish due to pack-up)
Race for the Galaxy (Victory went to Gin with 14 cards)
The Garden Game (never heard of this one but looked quite impressive)

There was also a fascinating looking game called something like prioriteyes or categoreyes. There are a selection of pictures showing lots of objects (like those facebook games) and you have an egg-timer's worth of time to write down as many things you can see in a certain category.

No meeting in the second sunday of April owing to Easter. Still unsure about the 4th, the community house may be undergoing redecorating or something but I will confirm it with someone who has 2 brain cells to rub together before cancelling the whole thing.
