Firing a MG

Post by hayden » Sun Jul 08, 2007 10:02 am

If a unit does not itself fire but fires a MG it possesses, does the MG get separately marked with the First Fire counter or does it get so marked along with the unit?

Yes, but there's no counter for it; You normally have to remember, a bit strange, I recon. VASL actually does have a "First Fire SW" counter.

Remember these important notes though:

Subsequent First Fire: "Whenever a unit uses Subsequent First Fire, it must use all MG/IFE in its possession as Subsequent First Fire or forfeit their use for the remainder of that Player Turn (barring FPF)"

Final Protective Fire (FPF): "All usable MG/IFE possessed by that unit must be fired (even if not previously marked with a Final Fire counter) and are subject to Sustained Fire penalties."
