I had a ball, I think it was the absence of chess clocks which made it more fun. Also, Ashburton Library is a much quieter venue than Cancon!

I won one out of four games so my next goal is to win twice in a single tournament.
The highlight for me was the game on Sunday which my opponent conceded after only 2 out of 8 turns, it was a monster scenario which would have taken at least 10 hours to complete.
The lowest point was Saturday night. After 9 hours of playing ASL you would think the Saturday evening scenario would be something nice and simple; But no, it was Italians and Germans vs Free French at night in deep snow with heavy winds causing snow drift!
