ConVic 5

Post by gregor » Sat Mar 31, 2007 1:35 pm

Julian has posted some details about ConVic -- 27th-29th April at the Auburn Bowling Club, http://unhalfbricking.com/convic.php

I've had a blast at the last few.

The Bowling Club is a nice venue; it's quite civilized to be able to have a beer between games.

Well, I'm excited about Convic as well. My wife and I have this scheme of leaving our 2-year-old over at a friend's place, packing our 4-mth-old into a bassinet and turning up on Sat morning. Hopefully her breast-feeding the baby while playing won't distract any of the other players ;)

Hmm.. which reminds me... Jon, when are you going?

If breastfeeding does distract the other players, you will have discovered another metagaming tactic. :p

Probably Sun, although I'll try to make Sat. Animania is on Sat (its a anime convention), and I've promised to go, but I doubt I'll be there the whole day.

So who's going? Cynthia and I will be there Sat 10am to around 1pm, so we hope to get a couple of medium-heavy games in. We'd love to try Power Grid or El Grande if there's anyone around to teach us.

With any luck, I'll be playing Mad Monks and Relics in the morning. It's the best time for longer (3-4 hour) games, cause people sleep in and drift in later.

Slackers. 8)

Why? He's even less likely to pick up girls at an anime con than at a gaming con

We are intending to be there from Sat morning with children, after all it is a "Family BoardGames Weekend"

You need talent to pry Fraser. Btw my lips are sealed....

Also, Ben is on the way to pick up my beautiful new Thurn und Taxis. I'm going to spend tonight lovingly unpacking, punching and smelling it. Should be playable by tomorrow. :D

Sorry Fraser. He interjected into our conversation

I haven't even played it in BSW. I wanted to look at it real life first. No matter how much it is I NEED it.
