1830 Rule Ambiguities Resolved

Post by bsmith » Fri Jul 21, 2006 3:11 am

I asked about the rules ambiguities on BGG. Results:

- The hard limit on stock in the bank is 50% for any one company. This limit may never be exceeded. So Imants dug his own grave when he tried to hose me :)

- The same city may not be passed through twice so the question of whether the payout is counted twice is irrelevant (the way Duncan ran his train was not legal).

- Green tiles can *only* be used to upgrade Yellow tiles. Brown tiles must upgrade green tiles. So no green tiles can be placed in blank hexes...

That should make our next game easier!! I suggest we play 18AL next week at Dockers. It's only a 4 hour game and we would be able to finish to completion.

Well, we got 2 out of 3 right.

1. We concluded that Imants could only sell into the pool UP TO 50%.

2. We, finally, concluded that green and brown tiles could only be used to upgrade.

3. BUT we did stuff up on the city thing.

I'm all for 18AL if we're allowed to be discriminating regarding who plays.

OK, but I'm not sure that's going to make most of us play any better ;)

See you tomorrow. Hopefully we'll be able to finish this one, just because it's meant to take only 4 hours doesn't mean that we will. :)

I can't play it tomorrow, I'm playing Bonaparte at Marengo with a new guy.

I put a few pamphlets for MelbourneGamers at Mind Games in the city and a couple of new guys joined, one may be rocking up tomorrow night.

If he doesn't show then of course I'll be up for a game if you guys have not already started!
