Lunchtime gaming at Good Games (29 Oct)

Post by TaleSpinner » Tue Oct 28, 2008 10:14 am

Well, I've contacted a couple of others, and we're meeting up at Good Games on Wed, 29 Oct, 12.30pm to play some games. I'll try to bring games that are suitably short. Drop in if you want, if only to say hi. ;)

Great! My games bag today contains quick and easy games:

Samurai
Coloretto
Pickomino
Race for the Galaxy
Incan Gold
Colossal Arena
San Juan

I brought my lunch in today, so I'll be at GG fairly early, maybe 12.15ish. See you there!

I think I'm gaming with Frankie in the park today, otherwise I'd be there!

Ah, so you don't want CC #104 and #105 then!

Ouch. I retract my statement. (skulks off with tail between legs).

Well, all in all, it was a successful lunch-time gaming session! Ken, myself, Brett and Ian turned up to play while christianmoura dropped in to say Hi.

Russell, myself, Ian and Ken played San Juan first. After that, Ian, myself and Brett played two games of Coloretto. We finished up at about 1.45pm.

Anyone interested in playing next Wed? It's easy enough for me because GG is right down the street from where I am, and I spend most of my lunchtimes surfing BGG anyway :p

Yea, it was pretty fun. I'll be keen to come by for more lunch time games. I do have a slight problem: Travelling down from Melbourne Uni takes about 15mins one way... Which means that having a 1-hour lunch break gives me 30mins to game.

As long as we can play stuff that lasts that long, I'll be good.

Well, maybe you should spend your lunch hour in my office instead (303, physics building), where I keep my copies of Galaxy Trucker, San Juan, LOTR: Confrontation, Blue Moon, Blue Moon City, Race for the Galaxy...

Oh and my officemate plays games too :D

That is a brilliant idea. I'm in the Sidney Myer Asia Centre, which really close by... I think
