Car Wars: Exfoliaris VII, Death wears a concrete cape

Post by christianmoura » Fri Oct 09, 2009 11:34 am

Nearly 15 years ago, Car Wars was a favourite game of a group of friends back in Brasilia, Brazil. We kept pilot rankings, and even produced 5 editions of "From the Line of Fire", a fanzine with interviews, gossip and reports on the many arenas fought. This is a translation of one of these reports I wrote on a session in 1996.

Heh, excellent writeup Christian!

What do you get when you mix Car Wars and Zombies? Zombie Driver. Looks fun!

Have you seen Darkwind? Car-Wars online, 3D and Massive Multiplayer: http://www.dark-wind.com. It's awesome, I'm too scared to install it again for fear I'll be addicted.

Car Wars was a great game - I used to play it with my friends and enemies back in the 80's.

I haven't seen any of the online variants but I might take a peek (after all, I spent almost $130 on this new graphics card a few months back so I might as well get my money's worth).
Power tends to isolate those who hold too much of it. Eventually, they lose touch with reality... and fall.
