Is there still a place for Gamers@Dockers?

Talk about anything.

I am far more concerned about the the fact you never seem to pass up an opportunity to disparage me/my business. If you don't want to talk to or listen to me, then don't. It's easy.

However, constantly trying to create negative publicity for my business which, I know, has been instrumental in keeping your expenses down when you buy games in Australia, whether from me or not, is neither necessary nor justified.

Julian, Julian. It was tongue in cheek.

Your website always comes up (either here or on BGG) when people ask me for local game store recommendations.

Plus I've unofficially helped you sell at least one crokinole board. So don't go guns blazing at me.

Now, tell us what you really think about a games night at GG then?

Whilst we had no plans to close Gamers@Dockers it was worth posing the question about a possible relocation. There is enough support to continue as is, and people have the additional option of Good Games and Billabong as well.

Until the Room Booking Nazi come hunting me (which they do occasionally) I can confirm that the Gamers@Dockers rooms are booked every Thursday until 31-Dec-2009.

The RBNs don't like me booking more than six months ahead, so they periodically delete my bookings and then after a period of grace I illicitly book them again ;)

Russell, you obviously need a Wednesday session to lure Frank. I think our Thursday session clashes with his Dancing with the Stars commitments 8)

After the fruitful discussion here, I am with the majority to keep Dockers as it is.

It does sound like there would be interest in another games night at GG, directed at those for whom Dockers is out of the way and people who can't make it on a Thursday.

You people should start organising informal games on another week night and try to build a momentum to make that day a fixture like Dockers and Billabong.

Another vote for keeping Dockers as it is. We've had healthy numbers lately during most weeks, and it's a good venue with free parking nearby and close enough to public transport.

I'm all for GG starting up something on a different night. There are a few who think Dockers is too inconvenient or who can't make Thursdays and it would be good to have an alternative night if I can't make it to Dockers.

Are Tuesday nights still going at GG? What has the turnout been like?

Tues nights died off, the wargamers couldn't muster enough interest. There's now a regular crowd of a Weds night, so we're open late Weds, Thurs & Fri.

Goodie. So if I turn up Wednesday night, what sort of games would I expect to see there?

Thanks, I'll probably wander in and see for myself what unspecified board games are being played.
