good work on Fraser's part.

I probably gave a little bit too much info to him on the date of death, though.

I was sure you guys would find him a lot sooner than you did after that. Perhaps you guys just didn't get the right scale in Google Maps. If you go down to too fine detail, you get swamped with cities and towns in west Africa. Zoom out a little and Bo is one of very few cities that start with 'B'.

Woah, I finally won one of these games! :smt109

I am too lazy to use google maps, I went with good old-fashioned wikipedia. Checked the neighbouring countries of Liberia, brought up Sierra Leone, and guessed one of the major cities of that country starting with B.

Same thing when I guessed the town of Buchanan - straight out of Wikipedia. It was the first time I got closest to Kendo in the game.

Assuming Google Maps is correct, Bo is West of Monrovia, which by my previous calculations was closer to Casablanca than to Kinshasa.

Although that said, different web based calculators gave different distances, so I shouldn't have relied on the figures I found on turn 1. I was never going to west of Monrovia based on the distances.

I had Sun Yat-sen as one of two possibilities at the end of turn 1, but wasn't willing to use him straight away. Also due to the luck of the placement I had the area pinned down to middle West Africa or possibly South Africa. It was funny watching people jump around Europe for a while and trying to make moves that would not make Africa obvious early on.

Yes, Bo is closer to Casablanca than Kinshasa. But round 1's closest should have been Kinshasa to match 1925, the year Sun died.

Round 1 closest did go to Kinshasa which is why I wasn't going west of Monrovia.

I know Doug was doing some kung fu with the coordinates so I'd imagine that's why he was having problems too.

I must have mis-read the first round. I did send the notice to Fraser and not Christian.
