OMG whateva!

gg dougp, though stompy may still kill you at night and then the sith will win, and not you the renegade.

I fought hard on the first day because I wanted to play this one and being lynched on the first day makes playing the game a little harder.

So who is left.
Dougp - dark apprentice
Stompy - sith lord
Jeff - Jedi Knight
redturtle - Jedi Knight

red gets lynched, stompy kills dougp at night and the sith win.
unless Jeff is the Dark apprentice...

which is possible, but I doubt it, hence the paint yourself into a corner comment.

If Jeff is the DA then congrats Jeff on a great game, but you still may not win.

If we vote for Stompy then the DA wins.
The only way we can win as the Jedi's is if Stompy's night kill fails.
Seems like a slim chance.

Ok, The Jedi Knights might still win.
I was short a person - The Senator.

That leaves one more jedi to vote stopmy on the last day.
Looks like the force is with us.

We still need to get the DA though and lynching me is not the way.
DougP...

[a few days ago]
"So the Dark Side, it can bring people back from the dead?"
"Yes, redturtle. The Dark Side is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be... unnatural"
"I must save greenturtle!"
"And so you shall, my young apprentice"

Stompy smiles.

[present day]
"You are under arrest, Stompy. We know who you are."
christianmoura watches as the Jedi confront the Sith Lord.
jeff and dougp both advance, lightsabers blazing.

"Nooooo! You must not kill him! He is my only chance to save greenturtle!"

redturtle rushes into the room, intent on stopping the Jedi.
Too late he realizes his mistake. The Jedi swing back and christianmoura fires his blaster. It was a trap!

The last thing redturtle hears is:
"We know what happened the last time a Dark Apprentice betrayed the Jedi. This time, we will make sure to wipe out the Apprentice first."

Then the Jedi advance on Stompy.
"Your plan has failed, Sith Lord"
Stompy shrugs, "There will always be others"

And as the blue and green lights overcome the lone red, christianmoura breathes easier knowing that they've saved the Republic... this time.

redturtle was lynched.
He was the Renegade.

By means of a 3 to 1 majority, (Stompy has agreed) the Jedi Knights have won the game!

Final Day 3 Vote Tally:

(3) redturtle - dougp(3), christianmoura(7), jeff(8)
(1) dougp - christianmoura(1), jeff(2), redturtle(4)
(1) christianmoura - Stompy(6)
(0) jeff - Stompy(5)

I'll post up a summary of the game soon.

I was telling jttm80 the other day that for a WW: Star Wars Original Trilogy, the Rebels actually thematically should be the Wolves. Everyone else works for the Empire (perhaps as Senators representing various planets) and they all vote to decide whose planet do they think has the Rebel base and blow up with the Deathstar. The Emperor is the Seer who can use the darkside to determine who is a Rebel.

The Rebels win if they kill the Emperor. During the Night, they can either send spies to determine who is the Emperor, or launch an assault on a planet and hope that the Deathstar is there to be destroyed. However, if they do so, one of them will be exposed the next Day.

Just a few ideas but it seems pretty cool on the outset.

That's how they play it in BGG. Han, Leia and Luke were the wolves. Stormtroopers were the villagers, Darth Vader the seer, gold droid and R2D2 sorcerer type evil.

Shall I do the next one? Not a straight WW. Saw a game in BGG that can be done here too.

WW-Manipulation
Manipulation is a game that will end with only one player winning. I'll allow full PM rights

The concept is simple and everyone starts on an equal basis.

Lynches will be conducted via LHV-Longest Held Vote and night kill will be conducted via PMed orders (which will also use LHV).

Communication will happen during both the day and the night.

The game will end when there are only 2 players remaining. There will be no role reveals.

Eg with 5 players:

Player A:

Major Victory - Alive with Player B
Minor Victory - Alive with Player C

Player B:

Major Victory - Alive with Player C
Minor Victory - Alive with Player D

Player C:

Major Victory - Alive with Player D
Minor Victory - Alive with Player E

Player D:

Major Victory - Alive with Player E
Minor Victory - Alive with Player A

Player E:

Major Victory - Alive with Player A
Minor Victory - Alive with Player B

So the trick is in manipulating the other players to keep you alive. The people whom it benefits you to keep alive will want you dead, whereas the people who want you to stay alive are the people you want dead.

Depending on the number of people, this game won't last longer than N2 or D3 when there would only be 2 players remaining.

Thanks for hosting Jon. Great fun!
As Sith, I thought we'd try out going for the double kill to test out the new rules.

It turned out to be a killer - we didn't stand a chance after getting no kill that night. On the other hand I believe that the villagers would have been wiped out if we had a double kill...

Interesting.. so if Player E was the Wolf, he'd want to keep Villagers A and B alive?

No wolves. All players are equal. You all vote for lynch (public in forum) and you all vote for nightkill (private-PM to me).

You have to be alive to win. Either with a major or minor victory. All players who are killed lose.
