Interesting that it comes down to guessing the GM's name as much as the other people's.

I think having a strong suspicion that christian was banjo paterson (and being right) set me up for the win there. I had a 50/50 guess to eliminate anna, and got it. Then I had a 50/50 chance to eliminate stompy, so I thought I'd go for it, rather than being tricky about it. And it worked in the end, stompy gave me much more credit for being devious than I deserve.

Hooray! I won!

I've always said that this plays well as a party game for large groups of people. Then, memory comes into play "Did someone already guess this name on this person!?". We do away with scoring and let the last person standing win.

I wonder if I can borrow the hidden action mechanic from WW and put it into the game. Like get everyone to PM me their guess by a certain deadline and then I announce all guesses at once. Correctly guessing a person's name gives you [number of players-1] points, and if 2 people guess the same, then points are divided (rounded down) between the two. Survivors guess the next round. Might actually be playable...

How/why did you think I was Banjo Paterson?

BTW, I thought I'd choose someone from Australia Trivia (such as a TV personality, cartoon character, famous sportsperson) that I could not know about - given I didn't grow up in this country. I looked up Australian personalities in Wikipedia, and found that name - incidently I really don't know how well Banjo Paterson is known, or how famous he is.

For that reason. I didn't think someone who grew up here would choose Banjo Paterson. It just fit the sort of thing you would choose because noone would pin it on you.
