Melissa I would love to hold this as a regular event at ConVic. We do get quite a few interstate visitors for it, & perhaps this would encourage others to visit us at this time. I think this would be a great way to increase the reach of such an event, particularly to the Adelaide brigade. :) I am c...

Protospiel / Prototypes day for game designers

One of the things that came out of the Boardgames Australia game designers' forum at last year's Australian Games Expo was that people would like to see more events to support game designers. We're now looking at when and where to hold these. Is there interest in an event for game designers in Melbo...

I'm sure it's easy enough to play, but the rules read like a bad Google translation from Swahili to Russian and back again. Just picking random paragraphs: To this end, everybody thinks time and again, "Would I rather work a long time but infrequently, or a short time but often? How can I manage to ...

We tried to read the Zman rules and gave up.

It looks pretty, but ugh ...

I'd like to play it some time, though.

Having the bigger room will be very good.

Sundays are a bit trickier for us but that won't stop us, we might just have to leave a little earlier.

- Tiles with 6 shapes and colours, something like "quirkle"?
I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess Qwirkle :)

Mad props to all of you who braved yesterday's weather to go :)

There's plenty of space to laugh and holler after ?4.30? when Bridge finishes. The noise levels last time were annoying people in the same room (raises hand), so I really don't blame the Bridge players for being annoyed. It really is an environment where you can hear the proverbial pin drop - on car...

The problem is actually that it butts right up against our beach holiday - so oto get there, we'd have to fly, and even at $90 each way that's $720 ... plus family accommodation, meals, [-]drinks[/-], shipping in a babysitter, ... -- if we could have driven, it wouldn't have been such a nightmare of...

EGF December 6th

Who is going?

Fraser brought many more of my new games home with him, although there are a few yet to arrive.

I am very keen to play 3p or 4p Le Havre.

Happy to bring other games on request. See the November list and add, um, about 30 more games

I'll try to make it for at least part of the time.

I'll bring a couple of little card games (Dominion is a bit much for me to bring in with everything else).
