Re: Bargain Watch

Been a while since I shopped but here are two sources of games that have some serious potential: http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/book/9781589947177/Runewars - Free shipping, that is a good price. They have limited range but what they do have seems to be very competitive with the zero shipping cost. ...

Re: Bargain Watch

The other one that appealed to me was Chicago Express, forty something dollars for a BGG top fifty game full of nice components.

I am resisting though Beowulf is tempting me horribly but shelf space is always am issue.

Re: Bargain Watch

I am sure everyone already knows this but milsims are having an overstock sale. Some great prices obviously, now to try and refrain from blowing too much cash.

Re: Bargain Watch

Blokus and Bananagrams were all more expensive than milsims, but yeah I was pretty surprised to see the hobbit there and it be a legit one. So many good games out there at reasonable prices, I am not looking forward to the dollar going south again.

Re: Bargain Watch

Ok I just popped into Borders at Highpoint and saw three copies (now two as I bought one) of Reiner Knizias The Hobbit for $35 dollars.

Good price for a family game but Borders one in the end because we heavily overpaid for a book and a game for my son. The cost of taking kids to a shopping centre.

Re: Bargain Watch

Inspired by some of my colleagues purchasing copies of 1860: Railways on the Isle of Wight I thought I'd do a little ferret around for some prices, knowing that were I to buy it I'd never come close to getting anyone on the nights I organised to play it. Just a bit of light consumerism, pricing game...

Re: Bargain Watch

For some reason milsims have dropped the price on Survive! Escape from Atlantis. They now have it listed for $56.25 which is a fantastic price. It is on backorder so no idea when they will get copies in again but might be worth giving them a call for those keen on this game and not wanting to go abr...

Re: Bargain Watch

I have a friend that is a fan of Beowulf, I am not sure he'll be able to pass it up for that price. Thank for the post and welcome to this quiet little forum. Forbidden Island is ridiculously low priced, I picked it up as an impulse buy from the above mentioned comic shop for $21 so that suggests it...

Re: Bargain Watch

Checked milsims today and they have on backorder the full Yomi kit for $120, and each individual deck for $30 so I am not sure what to think as I saw the low prices you mentioned also in an email. Perhaps they were a a typo, though the current price does seem more realistic with respect to the RRP o...

Re: Bargain Watch

Ok here is another one that I didn't reveal earlier as I let a friend know about it first to give him a chance to buy it, but Classic Comics also had a copy of Yomi for $109 on Saturday. For anyone that has been looking for a copy of this it is worth calling up to snag what might be one of the only ...

Re: Bargain Watch

I am a big fan of the store, with it being my comic shop and all, so the more that discover it the merrier. I haven't experienced any extra mark up from pre-ordering so I am not sure why you got stooged. For the bargain hunter, the person looking for milsims comparably prices in the city, or anyone ...

Bargain Watch

I am not sure if there is a place for this already but I noticed a gaming bargain I couldn't take advantage of so I thought I'd let others know. Endeavor $40 at Classic Comics, there was a copy sitting on the shelf, I so should have bought it but badly do not need to buy more this month. To find the...

Games For Trade [Pick Up]

Hi All, I have some games I am not playing as much as I should that are up for trade if anyone is keen. They are quite common games so it is likely most people already own them or has access to them but I figure it can't hurt to let people know. They are listed here (if the link works - if it doesn'...

Re: Maths trade is up an running 2010/2011

Yeah sorry, I meant I would just put them somewhere that allowed me to specify a locale restraint. So I'll be passing on the Math Trade. I'll need to check that BGG trade allows it, if not I'll just list them here, give some away, and eBay whatever fails to be palmed off.

Re: Maths trade is up an running 2010/2011

Thanks so much for that Julian. I am not going to be able to attend the expo and every time I have quoted shipping in my eBay sales I have gotten it well under which has me a little post gun shy (that might be the mismatch between auspost site and reality I was not aware off). I think I'll just list...
