Re: Free boardgames for clubs

Thanks for the heads up-- i've done one on behalf of billabong, though, thinking about it now, EGF would make more sense, since there's already a collection.

Re: Updated: Wanted - Pillars of the Earth + Others

Last year Milsims had a sale after cancon-- prices were better than at cancon. You might want to look out for it.

Anybody driving to/from the AGE?

Seems like there's some melbourne folks who aren't going but who would like to send some trade games up. I'm flying, so I'm not really able to cart too many games with me. Does anyone have room in their car for extra games there/back? Once at AGE, Julian has volunteered to be the drop off/pick up po...

Re: Tuesday 5th January

I'm tempted by Tahua; really liked the game. Billabong numbers have been erratic though, so I wouldn't want to start too early and leave people without a game. Could we finish if we started at 8, or is it risky?

I'll reread the rules today.

Yes, it's happening-- it's quite rare that it doesn't happen. It's at amaroo neighbourhood house, in chadstone Amaroo Neighbourhood Centre 34 Amaroo St Chadstone VIC 3148 (03) 9807 2625 Link: http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=amaroo+neighbourhood+house&sll=-25.335448,135...

Hmm, we can probably shuffle around if necessary. Game commitments are non-binding ;)

Re: n00b alert!

Yeah, you don't have to worry too much about your level of experience. Just try some games, find some styles you enjoy and have fun. The worst that can happen is that you come last.

Re: EGF Sun Jan 3rd 2010

The other thing is that there's some people that come pretty near to opening time; it's possible to come later and have to wait around a while for a game. I'm fine with a 1pm start for Serenissima; I don't expect to get to EGF much before that. Don't worry if you don't get around to reading up on Se...

I've had Serenissima on my shelf for too many years. Time to play it or trade it. Anyone interested in playing?

Re: Long time sporadic gamer, first time poster.

Phil Harding is Sydney based. He is Adventureland Games. His game, Archeology won the first Australian Game of the Year award, and was picked up by Zman. His second game, Cannonball Colony, is also really good. He's just come out with a party/word game, I think.

Re: Childs First Games

I've been playing with games with my daughter, (now 4), since she was 2, or perhaps a bit younger. She sees us playing games and wants to be part of it. "Board game" was an early word for her. My son, now 2 is also very excited by games. My daughter has Down syndrome, so YMMV-- this is what she like...
