"may be". Is the Victorian Spring Racing Carnival running late this year or a reference to the yacht races? Maybe horses are crewing the yachts this year. :o :D

Are copies available locally?

So, does the game now take 5 hours to play? ;-p

Re: Maths trade is up an running 2010/2011

Bugger.
So I was rushing to throw a heap of stuff on the Maths trade list before the 6pm cut off and BGG went down.
I wonder if it will be back in ~2 hours?

That will teach me to leave it until the last minute.

Re: Heroscape!

Phil,

As part of my current game purge, I'm planning on selling my Rise of the Valkyrie (and Marvel) as soon as I can get the figures back off my D&Ding nephews.
Happy to take offers before it hits ebay.

Re: Amaroo end-of-night closing responsibilities

Alright, yes I'm the cylon.
I did say I'd do it, but as it got later & later and the final game wrapped up, but then the interminable discussion of (I can't even remember what) dragged on I completely forgot.

Put me in the brig until next week when the airlock becomes an option.

Re: Occasional Age Of Steam Group?

In the "Steam" family, I've only got Railroad Tycoon, I'll bring it next time... Can someone teach us? I have the original AoS along with the first 4 expansions. I'll bring them along unless I get burned out at Julian's on Sundays (and that's assuming I get to Julian's). I suspect I could teach RT ...

Re: Tuesday 5th January

Happy to teach it, but as mentioned above we will need to get into it promptly and keep the game moving or we'll still be there at midnight. That doesn't daunt you hopefully. :-)

Re: Tuesday 5th January

Its very rare for Billabongers to organise a game before hand, but having just returned from holidays I'm very keen to play Tahuantinsuyu . Anyone up for it? Its a longer game than the usual BBG fare so we would need to start promptly and keep the pace up. (Gregor, noticed you're flogging this off. ...

Re: Melbourne University Strategic Gamers Society

I was wondering if this group still existed or if anyone knows anyone who might have been president or treasurer secretary etc... I have no idea if they still exist, but I "have been president and treasurer" (with a heavy emphasis on the past tense) for a few years circa 1990. Don't tell me, the le...

As a public transport-riding, city worker, if a game night started up in Lonsdale St I would definitely go. I stopped going to Dockers yonks ago because its a bit too inconvenient to get home afterwards. You could see that as a positive or a negative on "Dockers" (whether or not the name changes) mo...
